1. Who we are

Kennelbook is operated by Goldgame. Goldgame is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why it is processed.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data (name or display name, email address, login credentials, profile photo) — to create and secure your account and identify you in the app. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Kennel and breeding content (kennel details, dog and litter records, pedigree data, health and show results, measurements, photos, puppy buyer updates, social and channel links) — to provide the Service and to publish the pages you choose to make public. Legal basis: contract performance.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in supporting users.
• Usage and technical data (pages viewed, approximate device and browser information, IP address, and a one-way hashed viewer identifier used to count dog profile views and prevent vote manipulation) — for security, fraud and abuse prevention, statistics and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Membership data (plan, subscription status, period dates, customer and subscription identifiers from our payment provider) — to give you the features you paid for. Legal basis: contract performance and legal obligation.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payment data is collected directly by our payment provider.

3. Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, file storage, email delivery and support tooling providers acting on our instructions.
• Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, for the sale of Premium membership, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
• Authorities — where we are required to disclose data by law.

Content you publish on public kennel, dog, litter or magazine pages is visible to anyone on the internet. You control which records are public.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or accounting purposes. Aggregated view-count statistics are retained in anonymised form.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority. Contact Goldgame to exercise any of these rights; we respond within one month.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level database security and restricted file access through signed links.

8. Cookies and storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to run the checkout. We do not use advertising cookies for tracking you across other websites. You can clear cookies and storage in your browser settings, though signing in will then require you to log in again.
